It’s been a long time since I last blogged here. Things have been busy, just when I thought I had the time to spend on writing stuff here. I’m glad now that I’m finally able to get the website domain that I really want, and I am going to keep this!
2024 started well for me. Last year was pretty busy, as I have said earlier. My best friend visited me in February, my sister was here in June, and then my parents and my aunt were here for a month last September. Summer and autumn went by so fast, and then Christmas. I was able to spend Christmas in Vienna with my cousin, and it was pretty exciting!
It was both our first time in Vienna and her first time for Christmas in Europe. I’m glad to be able to spend time with my cousin, and hopefully, I will be able to spend another winter holiday somewhere in Europe in 2024.
My January 2024 theme was taking a leap of faith. I met someone who was a really nice person, and I liked him. It’s been a long time since my last relationship and I’m ready to open myself up again with this one.
Unfortunately though, I think my subscription with Cupid was only for a limited period because the guy ended things with us a day before Valentine’s Day! 🙃 Oh well. Things happen for a reason. It was sad that it did not work out but let’s move on to much better things. 🙂 They say that when a door closes, another one opens, or something to that effect. I will only remember the wonderful days I spent with him since we parted amicably and respectfully, and this will be the first and last time I will speak of him here. 😛
Moving forward, I’m off to new projects such as places to travel, new ventures at work, and perhaps buying a property here. I’m still in a research period on the last one, and that is a long-term project that has a two-year timeline. 🙂 Also, better health. I just recovered from sickness and injury last week, and I’m getting better and being able to walk better too.
Anyway, to end this senseless blog (haha), I’m happy to report that the sun is back after a few days of rain. I just got home from lunch with some wonderful friends who were just as excited to go out when the rain stopped. Back at home, the candle warmer is lit with its soft glow, and my French workbooks are waiting for me to review. I have two weeks of break before my new French classes begin with a new phase.
Currently
Reading. A romance novel book. Because duh, of course. I love reading them 😀
Writing. None at the moment.
Listening. The quiet hum of my fridge
Smelling. The melting candle wax from my candle warmer lamp. I bought mine on Amazon and it looked something like this.
Wishing. For a better health this year.
Hoping. That I will have more opportunities to speak French with my colleagues and the people around me. That’s why I’ve been going out and talking to the merchants in the local businesses. It helps to learn, as well as get to know the nice people around my neighborhood.
Wearing. warm clothes 😛 It’s a bit chilly in my apartment right now despite the heater.
Loving. The thought of going to bed and reading my book after writing this post.
Needing. Water. More water. Also, more time to exercise.
Feeling. Cozy. Despite having been on a rollercoaster ride in the past weeks, with my love life and my health and at work, I’m still grateful that at the end of the day, I have my family and a few trusted friends that I can always go to and rely on. So yes, I’m feeling cozy and warm inside, safe and at peace. I wish that for you as well. 🙂
